A chance to glimpse the creative rush of emerging talent from key educational institutions in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
A program of contemporary Hong Kong independent film and video works. These moving images project a myriad urban experiences in contemporary Hong Kong. Curator Jo Law will be present to introduce the program.
Sick and Dizzy refers to a sense of disorientation and discomfort technically, aesthetically and culturally. The video works in this screening deal with cross-cultural experiences of diaspora and migration, of reorienting ones self in a new place. Curated by Fiona Ng (Videotage, Hong Kong) and Beth Jackson (Griffith Artworks, Brisbane). Both curators will be present to introduce the program.
Sydney new media arts group dLux Media Arts presents the 1999 selection of the annual international showcase of experimental digital film, digital video and computer animation art.

This interactive installation is the results of a cross-cultural, Internet exchange between young people and artists in Ipswich, Queensland, and the Xi'an Translators College in China. Perth Multimedia Centre Imago presents a showcase of contemporary Australian digital animation and video works. "Anemone" presents a vision of Australian experimental image making in the closing days of the 20th century that is characterised by diverse, inventive and critical approaches to cinema.
A collection of short videos that initially were installed and screened in a busy shopping complex in Hong Kong. The works give a wide selection of bite-sized original and surprising vision.
A collection of video/film works from Julianne Summich "Happiness" (NZ), Young-Hae Chang "The Samsung Project" (Korea), David Cox "Other Zone" (Australia), Feng Mengbo "Q3" (China), Margaret Dodd "Alien Eye" (Australia) and Joyce Campbell "Bloom" (NZ).
The Experimental Program finalists from the recent awards in Kuala Lumpur. A selection of offbeat works that plays with the codes and conventions of traditional cinema.

An initiative of QANTM, Cybercamps provide todays young and young at heart with the opportunity to gain real world experience in multimedia production. You will learn how to use the latest industry standard multimedia Internet software on high-end NT workstations.
This one-week course for the 12 15 year olds teaches young artists about multimedia, team-building skills, how to create a storyboard and skills in Photoshop, 3D animation, video, sound and web authoring.
This Cybercamp is designed to bring teachers up to speed on the latest technology that the multimedia industry has to offer. In one week you will learn the fundamentals of Multimedia; Macromedia products Dreamweaver, Flash and Director, plus Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, and SD Studio Max II.
